RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Southern Arkansas senior right-hander Hunter Mayo has been named as the Great American Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week for the week-ending March 14 as it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Mayo, a native of Kileen, Texas, earned the weekly conference honor after he turned in his best outing of the season by tossing seven shutout innings while scattering three hits and striking out a career-high 13 batters in SAU's 10-0 win over Northwestern Oklahoma on Monday afternoon.
 
In his final inning of work in the seventh, Mayo would achieve a rare feat as he struck out four batters in one inning; all swinging.
