Sarah Ford enters her fourth season as assistant volleyball coach at Southern Arkansas University in 2026.
Since joining the Muleriders, Ford has helped Southern Arkansas continue its rise in the Great American Conference, contributing to the program's first winning season, GAC Tournament appearance, and highest conference finish since 2015. She has also helped develop multiple All-GAC performers while supporting the program's continued success in the classroom.
Ford arrived at Southern Arkansas after spending three seasons as an assistant coach at NCAA Division III Millsaps College. During her tenure, the Majors won 38 matches and produced 11 All-Southern Athletic Association selections. In addition to her on-court coaching responsibilities, she served as the program's Academic Coordinator, helping Millsaps earn the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award in each of her three seasons.
Prior to her time at Millsaps, Ford served as Executive Assistant to the President of the Birmingham Iron of the Alliance of American Football and worked as Head Graduate Assistant in Auburn University at Montgomery's Human Performance Lab. She has also coached with Capital City Juniors Volleyball Club and assisted with several volleyball events, including the Special Olympics of Alabama Volleyball Tournament and the Mississippi Volleyball All-Star Game.
A four-year setter and opposite hitter at Faulkner University, Ford appeared in 449 career sets and totaled 436 kills, 637 assists, 388 digs, and 123 blocks. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Faulkner in 2016 and a Master of Education in Sport Management from Auburn University at Montgomery in 2018.
